When i was a kid I really, really, really wanted real Barbie furniture. The seventies kind that looked real, not the latter pink crap. My parents were too broke and they didn't like Barbie anyway, so my dolls had to make do with makeshift beds and couches and somehow survived the ordeal (they're still mint and complete, with their original outfits and shoes).
And yesterday at a garage sale, I found those :

Thierry encouraged me to buy those two dreamy sets for the Blythe family. They're mint and still in their original boxes, which was amazing ! I got them for 30 euros each, which isn't cheap but not dead expensive either. And anyway, I really, really, really wanted them.
Of course, there's no room for them in my Blythe cabinet, so i'll store them someplace safe until I have a proper doll house... But in the meantime, I'll take photos of the girls enjoying their new furniture.
I'm glad I own one of the last bits of true Barbie creatity... (more photos on my
flick'r)
Blythou out.
