... aren't always my friends.

Yesterday evening, we had dinner at a friend's with 3 others friends and this girl, who's not part of the inner circle ;-) We were all willing to include her in our discussions, but she was doing her best to resist, so she could look at us with a smirk everytime there was a bad pun (and there were bad puns a-plenty).

Then came the food. We'd made oven toasted goat cheese with herbs on multigrain bread and we were grilling mushrooms, bell peppers and eggplants. I'd made a tofu and low fat goat cheese dip for starters with plenty of crudites, there was a good old fashionned sausage for those who like meat, so really, there was plenty to eat.

Then, Miss Bitch asked : "is that all there is ? I mean veggies ?"
Us : yes. But there's also a cheese platter and a giant fruit salad.
Miss Bitch : "Those veggies are slow to come... Maybe if you had cut them smaller, they'd grill faster."
Me and my friend Marion-I in the kitchen : "should we slap her ? If it's too slow, maybe she could lift her butt from her chair and *help* ?"

Then, she found out we hadn't picked the *right* goat cheese brand according to her and the bread was also a lousy choice so she gave her share to others...

Then, she commented loudly on my drinking habits and the fact that I was eating pickles...

And then, I had to really bite my tongue to shut the fuck up. But at some point, I nearly lost it and got really snappy and *she* shut up. Which was good.

On the way back, we collectively decided we had to say something about us not wanting to see her. I'll tell our friend that maybe, it's not a good idea to invite her when we're all here because she probably feels left out from our conversations... I hope she gets the hint. Otherwise, next time, Miss Bitch will end up grilled and stuffed with goat cheese.
