We had a lovely time in Blackpool... We esp. loved the old wooden nameless rollercoaster (rode it 4 times) and the gigantic, super high and adrenaline charged Pepsi Max (or something) at Pleasure Beach...
I used to "fight" the coaster power and clutch the safety bars until it hurt. Then, one day, our friend and coaster expert JM explained me how a rollercoaster works. It helped me get more and more relaxed to the point where I open my eyes and raise my arms during the first drop.
Sure, I'm still afraid of heights (I have trouble climbing on a simple ladder !), but I truly enjoy a drop of 70 metres in the relatively unknown. I love riding in front of the train for the view or at the back for maximum air time. Now, if only the safety bars were designed for small framed individuals so I don't get shaken around too much, it'd be heaven.
Blythou out.
